For almost 70 years, the Internationales Beratungszentrum (IBZ) has been helping people who have moved to Stuttgart. We are part of the city’s support system for migrants. As well, our team comprises many different experts, and we give advice on a wide range of topics about life in Germany. We are familiar with many local organizations and can refer you to them should you require further assistance.
We also run special projects. Currently, we are helping refugees find jobs through “NIFA plus” and provide support to women and children in need of safe housing via “FamilienMittendrin”. Additionally, we share stories about our work and clients on Instagram with the hashtag #stories.
If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please call us Monday to Friday between 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00 on +49 711 252487-60. You can also send an email at any time to migration@eva-stuttgart.de.
What We Offer:
· Advice for Migrants: We give free and personalized guidance on various aspects about everyday life in Germany. Topics covered include money, your visas, learning German, health, school, work, family, and housing.
· Help for Refugees: We collaborate with the City of Stuttgart to assist refugees with social issues and finding accommodation.
· Project NIFA plus: This project helps refugees find jobs and training opportunities in Germany.

The Evangelische Gesellschaft Stuttgart e.V. (eva) is a group that helps people in need. They offer a variety of services in Stuttgart. One of these is the Internationales Beratungszentrum (IBZ). IBZ helps migrants with whatever questions they might have about life in Germany.
Counselling involves talking to someone who listens to you and offers advice. We help people experiencing difficulties while living in Germany. The provision of our help is free of charge, and it is entirely up to you todecide if you want it. We keep your information confidential. To make an appointment, call us Monday to Friday between 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00 at +49 711 252487-60. Alternatively, email us at any time at migration@eva-stuttgart.de. If you are unable to attend an appointment, please notify us in advance.

Our team is comprised of 50 people. Most of them are social workers with experience in migration. Some have other skills such as psychology or healthcare.
Many people in our team speak different languages. Even if your German is not good, we will try to help you.
Yes, you can bring your children if you don’t have anyone else to look after them - there are play areas available. However, children cannot come to counselling alone. Please do not ask your children to translate for you during counselling, particularly if the subject matter is difficult.
We can help you look for housing and explain your options. However, we do not provide housing ourselves.
We need volunteers, especially to help refugees. In Stuttgart, local groups called “Freundeskreise” (friends’ groups) organize volunteering activities. If you would like to help, please contact us by phone or email using the details provided above.
